Hustings on Tuesday 20 April 2010 6.00-8.00pm, St Cuthbert's Church, Lothian Road Edinburgh EH1 2EP

You are invited to attend an Election Hustings on Child Poverty and Inequality, in advance of the 6 May UK General Election.

One in four children in Scotland live in poverty. With the expenses scandal and the economic crisis grabbing the headlines how do we make sure that the most vulnerable members of our society are not left behind?

If you believe that our society is shamed by our failure to end child poverty and you want to know how different parties are proposing to tackle this problem come along and ask their parliamentary candidates.

The event will be hosted by the Church of Scotland and Chaired by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Rt Rev William Hewitt. Candidates from different parties will explain their policies in relation to child poverty and inequality, there will then an opportunity for members of the audience to ask the candidates questions.

This event is open to the general public, is free of charge and not ticketed, however it would help us in our planning if you can tell us if you plan to attend by emailing info@actsparl.org
