David Bradwell

I took up the post of Scottish Churches Parliamentary Officer in December 2011. I am providing maternity cover for Chloe Clemmons.
The role involves offering advice and information to churches and Christian organisations around how they can relate to issues and people in the Holyrood and Westminster Parliaments. I have previously worked for the Church of Scotland (Church and Society Council) in Edinburgh and the Methodist Church (Joint Public Issues Team) in London. I have been involved in policy development, campaigning, Parliamentary lobbying and media work on a wide range of social and political issues, including: gambling, refugee and sanctuary issues, nuclear weapons proliferation, poverty awareness, economic justice, international relations.
I have a degree in War Studies and History and am an Associate of King’s College London.
I am a member of City of Edinburgh Methodist Church.

Alison Bennett
Research Officer
Having graduated with an honours degree in Politics and History from the University of Strathclyde in 2008, I started working in the Scottish Churches Parliamentary Office in January 2009. I'm originally from Gourock, on the west coast of Scotland, but have relocated to Edinburgh. I'm currently studying for a MSc in Policy Studies at the University of Edinburgh in the evenings and when I have any free time I enjoy going to the gym, singing, attempting to learn guitar, and reading. (not all at the same time!)
As Research Officer my main responsibility is the preparation of the monthly SCPO Update, which involves monitoring business at Westminster and Holyrood, with a focus on issues of priority for Scotland's Churches. I also prepare SCPO briefing papers and interviews and am happy to respond to requests for further information on specific topics.
